Carpensalda is working with Saipem do Brasil at CING (Centro de Tecnologia & Construção Offshore – Guarujá – San Paolo) for the construction of “sub-sea” structures in carbon steel for "PRE SALT" project for the Client Petrobras.

August 2014

Carpensalda collaborates with Saipem in Guarujà Yard in Brazil. The work consist of carpentry and welding service for the manufacture of “sub-sea” structural installation made of carbon steel and PLET/PLET INTERFACE off-shore for  PRE SALT project assigned to Saipem by the Brazilian oil company Petrobras.

Our work, started in August 2014, is going on until the first half of 2015.

For the structural part processes for coated electrode and flux cored wire are used in structural pipes from 6 to 20 inch and thickness until 50 mm; moreover a part of work  consists of the assembly and TIG welding for a line piping made of Super Duplex.

Our team is composed by 42 people (engineer, welders, pipefitters, fitters and supervisors) from August 2014 to March 2015.

A team of highly skilled welders was sent. They are qualified under legislation AWS D1.1 in Italy and retraining  in Brasil in the presence of the customer  in the following processes:

Carbon Steel:  SMAW+FCAW position 6GR  -  SMAW position 6G,

Super Duplex:  GTAW position 6G.
